The Austrian Tyrol & Italy

Day One is an early morning ferry crossing from Dover to Calais and once in France you’ll make your way to arrive at our first (half board) three star hotel just south of Nancy where the group will rendezvous to begin the Tour.

Day Two allows for a memorable ride over the Vosges Mountains following the Route des Crêtes up to the Grand Ballon towards our next destination and a return to a quality, family run (half board) biker friendly, hotel based in the heart of the Central Black Forest. Here we will enjoy a three course dinner and a good breakfast on Day Three before continuing our journey onwards to Austria.

You’ll have the opportunity to take the Silvretta Hochalpenstraße as we arrive in the Austrian Tyrol and our (half board) overnight hotel near Landeck and for a further two nights on our return. MSL Tours have stayed here before so we are assured of a warm welcome and a fabulous evening buffet meal with secure underground parking for the bikes. 

On Day Four we’ll leave Austria and head for the Trentino region in northern Italy, en-route to our (half board) Tour hotel for the next three nights. MSL Tours returns to this exceptionally elegant boutique hotel in the heart of the Val di Fiemme, where the hospitably, ambience and especially the cuisine was very well received. 

With many must-ride high mountain passes including the Paso Pennes and the mighty Sella Group, the famous four are located in the heart of the Dolomites; Passo Gardena, Passo Campolongo, Passo Pordoi and Passo Sella. They combine miles of sweeping, steep turns winding through some incredible scenery passing the iconic Sella Towers. With two full ride out days available, then make no mistake this is a stunning biking region, with technical well paved roads combined with scenic backdrops that will just take your breath away!

Day Seven sees us travel north back into Austria and there is no better way to do this than over the mighty Timmelsjoch Hochalpenstrasse from the Italian side winding its way up for you to find time for lunch at the Top Mountain Crosspoint Café, a first-class restaurant with its panoramic terrace and, if time, a visit to the famous Motorrad motorcycle museum.

We will return to our (half board) hotel near Landeck for a further two nights, so you’ll have a further full ride out day to explore the roads around the Austrian Tyrol. 

Day Nine and we ride back towards Germany to re-visit our (half board) hotel in the central Black Forest making our way back into France over the Rhine to our  final overnight (half board) hotel  near Nancy on Day Ten.

Day Eleven is a return to Calais to board a late afternoon ferry to Dover. Time then to reflect on the stunning beauty of the Austrian Tyrol and the magnificent roads of Northern Italy and the Dolomites, with some of the most iconic mountain passes in Europe!
