Austria and the Alps with an Italian Twist

Sweeping bends, switchbacks and amazing mountain passes!

We are going back to Austria and Italy, a similar format to 2018 with however the addition of a fabulous new Alpine Tour hotel to enjoy in Austria! The Tour starts in Dover where we meet before boarding our ferry to Calais. Once in France we’ll make quick progress to our (half board) transit hotel in Reims, with the opportunity to stop in Cambrai for a late lunch along the way.

Day Two allows for a memorable ride over the Vosges Mountains with the opportunity to follow a part of the iconic B500 northwards, after we cross the Rhine into Germany at Freiburg. Our next transit destination is a welcome return to our quality (half board) biker friendly hotel based in the heart of the Black Forest, just south of Freudenstadt. Here we will enjoy a three course dinner after our arrival and a good breakfast on Day Three before continuing our journey onwards into Austria.

We will have the opportunity to ride over the Silvretta Hochalpenstraße High Alpine Road as we complete the Third Day, arriving in the Austria Tyrol and our (half board) overnight Tour hotel located in the Paznaun-Ischgl region. MSL Tours have stayed here before so we are assured of a warm welcome and a fabulous evening meal with secure underground parking for the bikes. Further free passes are included in the tour price for the return ride over the Silvretta High Alpine Road!

Our impressive, comfortable alpine three night (half board) hotel is situated at over 1,600 meters, after an amazing ride up the fabulous Tauplitzalm – Alpenstrasse. Fortunately there will be no riding restrictions on the Tauplitzalm, with special permits applying to hotel guests!
