Edelweoss – Grand Canyon Tour
Some of America’s greatest landscapes are found in “Red Rock Country.“
The region, just northeast of Las Vegas, abounds with the unforgettable dramas of nature. Even Edelweiss tourers who have travelled with us many times continue to enjoy this tour, some of them for the second or third time with new experiences on each trip.
Las Vegas is a great place to start exploring the Grand Canyon and historic Route 66. Hoover Dam and Lake Mead lead the trip. Route 66 from Kingman to Williams revives the Fifties and Sixties. Williams is a good base camp to discover the grandest of all canyons by airplane, helicopter, motorcycle or on foot.
After a great ride to Page, the trip to Monument Valley on the rest day can take up to 12 hours or more! But a boat ride on Lake Powell is a more relaxing option.
Zion National Park or Bryce Canyon are the options for seeing some of the greatest red rock formations in the world. The ride back to Vegas opens vistas into the Valley of Fire and across Lake Mead. Make the right turn at the end of this great tour: Stay and gamble or fly home to savor eight days of memories from your red rock ride.
