We start the touring year with an inexpensive long weekend in France. This will suit riders who wish to experience riding on the Continent for the first time. Mileages will be easily manageable and well capable of modern day scooters.
Once on French soil we ride on a combination of country roads and national highways with a stretch of autoroute thrown in to quicken the pace.
Our first stop will be at a well tried and tested hotel in the pleasant town of Dinant in Belgium. The hotel has good parking and the spacious rooms overlook the River Meuse. There will be planned ride-outs for those who wish to cover extra mileage and explore the Belgium Ardennes, Bouillon and neighbouring villages.
The second stage of this opening 2 + 2 tour is closer to home at Cambrai where French hospitality is high on the agenda. Our friend Philippe - often referred to as ‘PHIL the TANK’ has a passion for WW1 tanks one of which has the name of ‘Deborah’ which he found buried in the battlefield around Cambrai. During the stay our friendly host will escort us to his private museum where we see and share his life long passion more closely.
Our journey back to the port will be a gentle ride through French countryside to savour more of the pleasures of riding the quiet ‘D’ roads.

Two persons, one bike, shared room – £269 each.
One person, one bike, shared room– £320.
One person, one bike, single room – £455.
Deposit £95 per person.

This tour will end at breakfast on the 26th: ferry ticket dated 26th.
Any rescheduling of ferry ticket will incur a surcharge of £30.
